Last week all of us, besides his loyal and loving wife and his outstanding extended family, suffered a material personal loss with the passing of Ronnie Scott. For all of the Virginians they lost a “Favorite Son” who at all times upheld and expanded the qualities of a true Southern Gentleman. The State of Mississippi for over 60 years, vicariously received the same benefits of Scottie’s presence and influence. Those of us who reside elsewhere lost the continuing and ongoing influence and true friendship of an outstanding individual. Scottie’s personal involvement in our individual lives will never be forgotten.
May God Bless Scottie and welcome him to Heaven’s everlasting Rewards.

We were fortunate to know Ron and Faye while living on Callawassie Island. Ron and Faye were an incredibly outgoing couple. They were always busy with friends on the island. We were lucky enough to enjoy special events at their home that included live music by many of their very talented friends. Ron will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. We send our sincere condolences to the Scott family and a special hug to Faye.

Our relationship began with me inheriting a small investment account he and his son Ron Jr. had with my firm. I liked him right off the bat and as we grew our mutual respect for each other the business portion became more of a friendship that I will always treasure.
I never had the opportunity to meet Ron and Faye in person but always knew that these were intelligent, caring, funny, thoughtful and trusting people. I now had the pleasure of having a few good conversations with his grandson Jeff and can tell he is was raised by an amazing family and has a bright future ahead. I am here for whatever this family needs. Love You and God Bless.

Ron Scott was a true Christian gentleman and a great friend. We cherish the many hours we spent together as neighbors on Callawassie Island and the endless stories we shared which never grew old. One of our fondest memories was when Ron and Faye visited us in Park City, Utah. What a great time we had. Ron is now with his Creator, but the good memories we have are everlasting.

Faye, one day you will feel Ron’s loving arms around you, but until then may you and your family find comfort in each other, the many cherished memories you shared along with all the prayers and love that surround you. My heart truly hurts for yours. God bless you all.

Ron Scott was a very special person. His character was uncompromising; His kindness was ever present; and his sense of humor was downright piercing!
I am grateful to have come to know him through the years and now reflect on the impact he had on his many friends.
I would dearly love to plant a tree in Ron's honor. However, knowing Ron, he would frequently hit the tree with his golf ball & curse our friendship!
Fore God! Ron has arrived!!
