Obituary of Robert Joseph Earls

Robert Joseph Earls, Sr (Bob) of Salem VA peacefully passed away, Feb 2, 2023.

Bob was born April 28, 1932, in Squire, West Virginia.  Bob served in the Korean War and was extremely proud of his service to his country.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Beatrice Earls, one son Tony 
Rodney Earls, brothers and sister in laws Clarence and Clara Earls, Otis and Edith Earls, and his first wife Marie Weeks Earls Dalton. 

He is survived by two sons Robert J Earls, Jr (Diane) of Roanoke and Michael D Earls of Troutville, VA, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Betty DiVecchia (Gary), several nieces and nephews, and Joyce Edwards former wife and devoted friend.  

Bob loved his family and was a very hard worker. He loved music, dancing and North Myrtle Beach.

The family wishes to thank the incredible staff at the Palliative Care Center of Carilion RMH and all the team at Richfield Retirement Center where Bob spent the last ten years of his life. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date, he will be interred at the Veterans' Cemetery in Dublin, VA.
